Render Speaker Series

Held at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in Cambridge, the speaker series introduces the student and local community to international artists and their projects.

SLSA Conference 07 - Portland, Maine

The conference of the Society for Literature, Arts and the Sciences brings together researchers and artists from around the world. This year's keynote speaker is N. Katherine Hayles. CrimeLab will be represented at the SLSA by Marcel O'Gorman, who give a presentation entitled "Code Resistance: Physical Computing and The Return of Meat."

Immersive Worlds Conference - Niagara Falls

The immersive Worlds Conference brings together scholars from around the world to discuss the philosophy and design of immersive environments. At the conference, Marcel O'Gorman's took a grim reaper's approach in his presentation on "Interactive Media, Flow, and Existential Dread."

ASLE - South Carolina

The Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment "promotes the exchange of ideas and information about literature adn other cultural representations that consider human relationships with the natural world." At this year's conference, Andrew McMurray discuss "georgics and informatics," which combines eco-criticism with media criticism.
